Safari appears to be blocking my webcam. When I visit a few websites that want to use the webcam nothing happens. The video doesn’t appear and Safari doesn’t ask for permission to access the camera. It works just fine in Chrome asked for permission and then the camera worked. Non-Safari apps Quicktime, Zoom, Skype work just fine asked for permission and then the camera worked. From my Google research it appears that Safari is supposed to be granted access automatically.

If I understand correctly, you are unable to use the camera on your Mac with certain websites in the Safari app, but you don’t have this issue in a different browser, and you have already isolated this in safe mode and a new user account on your Mac.

To isolate this further, make sure your Mac is up to date, as the updates contain stability fixes that can resolve issues like yours, as well as important security updates to keep your Mac safe. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. I have a MacBook Air. Last week I didn’t have a problem with it but now it is not working. May 16, AM. I think the issue is that your computer does not support Mojave and although works well in most cases there is some compatibility issue with Zoom. I have the same computer with a Mojave partition and a High Sierra partition. Zoom works perfectly in High Sierra but in Mojave the camera is functioning and other people can see me but there is no video, just like your problem.

I have a ten year old desktop mac and i like the large screen for zoom meetings – however the camera is not good – my iphone camera is far better – is there a way to either use the iphone camera OR is there a camera i can attach to i-mac? Posted on Apr 8, PM. Yes, you can use external camera as alternate source. I use Logitech which has served me well with resolution.

I would say, most of the external cameras are USB inferface – you can just plug into the back of the iMac 4 ports available. In the Zoom, you can choose audio input mic and video input iMac’s build-in or external camera.

Apr 8, PM. Unfortunately Zoom update on security has just broken the EpocCam support, for using the iPhone as an external camera

Be aware that Chromecast mirroring will drain your phone or laptop battery in a hurry, so keep it charged up or plugged in. To get started, swipe down from the top-right edge—on all iPads and on the iPhone X or newer—or swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up Control Center. Tap on the icon that looks like two overlapping boxes, then select your AirPlay device from the list. Switch to the appropriate input on your television, and you should see your iOS device mirrored on the larger screen.

Your iPhone or iPad will still supply the camera and microphone, so consider propping it up against your TV or directly below it. That way, you can easily keep an eye on the big screen while looking into the camera on your phone or tablet. Does your laptop have an HDMI port? Otherwise, you could get choppy video as your laptop struggles to handle a 4K picture. Events Innovation Festival. Follow us:. Community Get Support. Sign in Sign in Sign in corporate.

Zoom is a well-designed Accessibility feature for the people with visual impairment. Using Zoom on your Apple TV, you can magnify images to make viewing more convenient. With the help of the touch surface on the Siri remote, you will be able to control Zoom and pan around the zoomed image easily. Moreover, there is also an option to adjust zoom magnification as per your comfort level.

Once you have turned on zoom on your set-top box, I would recommend you to turn on Accessibility Shortcut to easily turn on or off this feature just by clicking the menu button three times on your Siri remote. Zoom In or Out: When in zoom mode, press the Touch surface three times. Now, the items you highlight will be automatically magnified. Adjust the Zoom Magnification: Simply tap on the Touch surface and drag up or down with two fingers.

Turn panning on or off: To turn panning on or off, you have to tap the Touch surface with two fingers on the Siri remote. Pan to see more: When panning, drag your finger on the Touch surface to see more detail. Speak the currently selected screen item: Simply press the Siri button twice to speak the currently selected screen item.

Move the Zoom Focus: You need to tap on the top, bottom, left, or right edge of the Touch surface to move in that direction by one screen item. Apart from Zoom, what are the other Accessibility features you like using on your digital media player?
